When visiting the stunning province of Palawan, there are generally two seasons to bear in mind: the wet season and the dry season.

The Wet Season (June to November)

The wet season between June and December is considered the low season due to the occasional rain and typhoon that hit the Philippines.

The Dry Season (December to May)

The dry season runs between December and May. At this time, the weather is just perfectly sunny with rare instances of rain.

One point to consider though is the northeast monsoon (or amihan) between November and March.

During this time, some days may be risky to go to the Underground River as the winds are quite intense and the waves are choppy.

Boat transfers may be cancelled but you can still go to the Underground River by trekking in the forest of the National Park for two hours.

The most ideal time to visit the Underground River is between March and June, when the weather is calm and sunny.
